Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp weather and the change in the season. And, I love decorating for Fall! I love transforming my home into a wonderful shade of orange and yellow and today on Beginner Sewing Projects, I’m going to show you How To Make Fabric Pumpkins With Free Printable Pumpkin Pattern! How cute are these?! I saw something similar to this in-store, but the price was outrageous. I came up with this easy pattern so I could make my own for super cheap. You can make these for less than $2.00 each depending on what kinds of deals you can get on the fabrics. These little pumpkins are the perfect accent pieces for my living room and our desk area as they don’t take up much space and look great. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the mess of using real pumpkins. Sew some of these for yourself and make a few extras to give as housewarming gifts. I used several different fabrics for a fun look. I picked fabrics that matched or accented my decor well. You could make these all out of the same fabric if you prefer.

I also had some leftover batting in my sewing supplies that help keep my costs so low. In addition to the fabric and batting, you’ll need some scrap burlap fabric, some standard sewing pins or clips, some scissors or a rotary cutter, a mat and ruler, and some thread. I also used some embroidery thread to add some detail accents and I think it turned out nice. You’ll also need some hand sewing needs to sew up the openings in the pumpkins. I used a ladder stitch for this so if you need a refresher you can check out the post here. Don’t forget to print out and assemble your pattern so you are ready to go. Gather up all your needed supplies from the list below and let’s get started!
