We have one of the cutest projects yet for you this time. Today on Beginner Sewing Projects, we are going to show you How To Make A Bear Out Of A Sock With Free Pattern! I was looking to make something a little different recently and I came across this free pattern. I have made other plushies before, but this one is a little more robust and so cute! I used some old socks I didn’t have a match for anymore along with a few other supplies. I think it turned out so great. This project is crazy cheap to make compared to buying something like this in-store. You could crank out a few of these in one sitting if you had enough mismatched socks that were cute. Everything about this project is simple and perfect for beginners wanting to try something new. Plus, it would make a nice gift for the holidays. Grab your mismatched sock box and let’s get to sewing! ree to use whatever combo you want. And don’t pass up the opportunity to buy some extra fuzzy socks for yourself. They are the best when the weather cools off.
You’ll only need a few other basic supplies like some matching thread, some craft felt, some thread, and a hand sewing needle. A pencil or other marking utensil is needed to draw on your felt as well. Don’t forget your fabric scissors or my preferred method, your rotary cutter, mat, and ruler. Gather up all your supplies and let’s get started!

How To Make A Bear Out Of A Sock With Free Pattern
Start this fun how to make a bear out of a sock with free pattern sewing tutorial by picking out a fun sock to use. Take your sock of choice, and fill it with enough stuffing to make a body. I used a brown sock, but you can use whatever color suits your needs.
Cut off the excess, use thread to pull the bottom together, and sew the hole shut. Now your stuffed bear plushie is starting to come together.
Next on this cute bear plushie tutorial, we will work on the ears. On the leftover sock material, use your pattern to draw two ears.
Cut them out, and sew them together at the edges.
On pink felt, draw 2 inner ears or use included pattern and cut them out.
Sew them onto the ears.
Now we can add them to the head. Sew the ears onto the head by hand.
Next on this bear sock plushie project, we will add the eyes. On white felt, draw 2 circles for eyes, and cut them out. Sew black sequins on the eyes for the inside of the eyes.
Then sew the eyes onto the head. Our sock bear is really starting to come together!
Now we will add some cute accent pieces to complete the look of our sock bear. On brown felt, draw a circle for the face, cut it out. Draw a nose on black felt, cut it out, sew it onto the face, then sew the mouth shape on with black thread.
Then start sewing on the head, when you are almost to the end, stuff with stuffing and sew all the way up. Doing it like this ensures you get just the right amount of plushness.
For the next accent piece, take some brown felt and draw an oval shape for hair. Cut it out, and sew onto the tummy by hand.
The next step on this how to make a bear out of a sock sewing tutorial, we will work on the arms and legs for our bear. On the leftover sock, draw 4 legs, and cut them out.
Then, sew along the edge, leaving one end open. Turn it right side out and stuff it with stuffing. Once you have stuffed it to your desired filling, sew the ends together.
You should have four finished legs.
All that is left is to sew all 4 legs onto the teddy bear.
And that’s it! Now you know how to make a bear out of a sock with free pattern! This is super cute and would make a fun gift for any child. You can make this for much cheaper than buying one in-store and this one has that handmade magic to it. I know I will be making some of these to give away as gifts this year.
