- 1 Paw Print Piece 10″x10″ Fabric (or print of choice)
- 1 Green Piece 10″x10″ Fabric (or color of choice)
- Free Printable Dog Collar Pattern
- Thread (match color of fabric)
- Sewing Machine
- Iron or heat press
- Thread Clippers
- Sewing Clips
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat, & Ruler
Dog Bandana Collar Tutorial with Free Dog Bandana Pattern
Start this dog bandana collar tutorial with free dog bandana pattern by washing, drying, and pressing your fabric. This process acts as a preshrink for your fabric so that your stitches won’t get messed up the first time you wash it. Once you have done that, you need to print and cut out your pattern. Lay the fabrics so that it is face down. Lay the cut-out pattern on top of the fabrics and pin it in place.
Next, using the chalk, pen, or pencil, mark all the way around the pattern pieces.
Now remove the pattern and use the scissors to cut out the pieces. You will need one pattern cut out of each fabric.

Now it’s time to sew! Using a 1/4 seam allowance, sew them together down the two sides but leaving the top open.
